Birria Grilled Cheese
Ingredients
1 tablespoon butter
About ¾ cups shredded cheese
2 slices of sourdough sandwich bread
About 2 teaspoons of hot sauce
½ cup birria (drained of consommé)
¾ cups birria consommé
Fresh cilantro, diced
Directions
Heat a frying pan over medium heat. Melt the butter.
Add both slices of bread. Sprinkle the cheese between both slices of bread, then add the birria to one side. Sprinkle the hot sauce over the birria.
Let the cheese melt, the sandwich both slices of bread together. Make sure the sandwich is nice and golden, then close it up and transfer it to a plate.
Meanwhile, heat up the birria consommé and garnish with the fresh cilantro.
Slice the grilled cheese in half and enjoy, dipping in the consommé with each bite.
